Prof. MUDr. Martin Filipec, CSc.
Chairman of the Board
Martin Filipec is a distinguished Czech ophthalmologist and scientist focusing on ocular immunology and external eye diseases. In microsurgery, he focused mainly corneal transplantation, cataract and glaucoma surgery and anterior segment reconstruction. He is the founder of the Ocular Tissue Bank (2001) at the General Teaching Hospital in Prague. Since 1993, he has been working with the Lexum private eye clinic, where he performs laser refraction surgeries. He introduced corneal transplantation to Afghanistan, has operated on blind children in Kenya, and participated in a programme eliminating river blindness in Venezuela.

Běla Třebínová is the 2002 and 2006 World Champion in 50 m backstroke swimming (S5 category), a world record holder in the same category, and Paralympics Champion from Athens 2004. She works as a business consultant for JobDnes.cz. She graduated in Child, Adult and Elderly Care from the Medical-Social Faculty of the University of South Bohemia.
